Clementine Quilt Along-Month 3

Photo by Fat Quarter Shop. Used with permission.
Welcome to Month 3 of the Clementine Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. The name of this month's block is Peaches and Plenty, and here are my blocks:

They are identical twins if it weren't for their scale. The block is very easy to make as it uses half square triangles and flying geese. However, the slowpoke here took about 4.5 hours to make them.

I may or may not have used the wrong red fabric but the day was kind of gray so I could not make out the difference from the pattern paper (old age creeping in!).

The pattern for this month's block is available today at Fat Quarter Shop's blog, along with the previous blocks. Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics are benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with this year’s quilt along. They are asking for a small donation in exchange for downloading each month’s pattern, and Fat Quarter Shop and Moda will match up to $20,000 of our donation.

I usually pet the fabrics before I start cutting them for the blocks because they are so beautiful! I chose to work with the fabrics Fat Quarter Shop had selected for this Quilt Along - Mama’s Cottage by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics - if you like them too, get the quilt kit and the matching backing set also as I did.

Here are the previous blocks I made:

You can find the full fabric requirements and all the patterns and videos posted so far on Fat Quarter Shop's blog Clementine Quilt Along page. Whichever fabrics you select, I am sure the final quilt will be amazing!

I am happy to be able to show my work in progress, as the other stuff I am working on is sort of secret. Speaking of secret, Craftsy is having a major sale this weekend: Save Up To 60% (3/22-3/25) on Cake Decorating, Quilt, Knit and Crochet Kits and Supplies!
