... is not a good idea if you can't fall back asleep in the middle of the night. Ask me how I know this... Plus, what is up with all those weight loss pictures under DIY and Crafts? Do they appear under other categories, too?

Tell me what you do when you lose sleep. Since my quilt room is across the (short) hallway from my bedroom, and right above my kids' bedroom, I am afraid sewing is out of the question. Crochet? Knitting? Ai, ai, ai...


  1. Ha ha, Pinterest gets me all fired up, I try not to go there before bed. Yes those stinkin' weight loss ads are right in there next to the recipe for caramel chocolate pumpkin cheesecake. Not fair.
    If I can't get back to sleep I usually read. When all else fails, 1 1/2 tsp. of childrens' Benadryl. Works like a charm.

  2. I am so glad you said that about the weight loss photos. I see them all the time and I think they are just trying to entice us to try some fad diet or fancy product. I try to ignore them, but dang....some of those women have abs that belong on a man!

  3. I read and make a nice cup of herbal tea. Reading always puts me to sleep even though I love to read. There is nothing worse, in the world, than lying there tossing and turning. You have to get up and do something. I can't go into my sewing room because I am still tired and make too many mistakes. Reading is the cure. xoxo
