Nature Lover - Butterflies quilt

I am releasing today my new pattern "Nature Lover". The quilt measures 47" x 47" and the blocks finish at 8". Naturally, it is made with batiks and these are by Timeless Treasures. They are so beautiful!

Although I designed it with batiks, Nature Lover would look fantastic made with scraps of your favorite fabrics, print or solids, don't you think? I have already begun pulling out my scraps - but batiks again! The butterflies are machine applique' using the blanket stitch. The block above is not appliqued yet - I do it when all the blocks are fused.

The wide border is meant to pop and it is one fabric - not blocks. Stripes or large prints would look great on that border. You can find Nature Lover at your favorite quilt store pretty soon (since I have just released it) or you can have it today by downloading it from my Etsy Store -  Quilterly.

Before I go, look at this cute applique' pattern I found at Annie's Catalog! I am smitten! It is called Sleepy Sheep. Oh, what a fun baby quilt! Anyway, this pattern is also downloadable (not my pattern).

So, this is my inspiration for you today. Enjoy!
